Old Town

The city of Kissimmee, Florida has a deep history that dates back to the 1800s. The small city is about 1 square mile and in the early 1900s was known as a gateway to the Florida frontier.  Today the city is known for its small town feel and family friendly atmosphere.

Kissimmee is also a very popular tourist destination thanks in part to being the home of Walt Disney World.  The city is also home to many attractions including the Renaissance Festival, and other theme parks such as Universal Studios.

The Old Town district in Kissimmee is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Central Florida. Home to a large number of outlet stores, specialty boutiques and chain stores, the area is a shoppers paradise.

If you are exploring the area on foot, you can easily walk to several dining destinations in the area. (Some are even walking distance from each other.) You can also take public transportation to the area from several other places in the city.

Old Town Kissimmee is a district that is often overlooked, given that it’s just a small area to the south of the Orlando airport.  It does have some nice attractions, such as a number of good restaurants and an arcade.  But what makes it really special is the people you’ll find there.

There’s a strong sense of community, and the people are generally very pleasant and friendly.  If you’re looking for a place to relax and enjoy some good food, you really can’t go wrong with a visit to Old Town Kissimmee.

Old Town will be celebrating 31 years of the Saturday Nite Classic Car Show and Cruise on March 20, 2021.
